UPS has identified the three crew members who were killed in the crash as First Officer Lee Truitt, Captain Richard Wartenberg, and International Relief Officer Captain Dana Diamond. These are people who leave behind loved ones and entire lives. As always, it's important to me to share more than just the name of a victim. I will be working hard to learn about these men while respecting their families' privacy.

First Officer Lee Truitt:
Truitt was based in New Mexico and leaves behind a wife and children, according to multiple reports.
"We are grateful for the outpouring of love and support that has come forward from the community. Lee is a beloved father, husband, son, brother, friend, and pilot. As we process this tragedy, we ask that the public and press respect our privacy"- family statement sent to KOAT
Captain Richard Wartenberg:
Wartenberg appears to be from Northern Kentucky, according to reporting from the Cincinnati Inquirer.
The newspaper reports the 58-year-old appeared to be a car enthusiast.
International Relief Officer Captain Dana Diamond:
Diamond was from Caldwell, TX, according to reporting from KBTX.
Captain Diamond served as the international relief officer on the flight, which is an extra crew member available to allow pilots to rest.

Matt Sweets: UofL has identified one of the victims of the plane crash as Matt Sweets- a 2011 BSBA in Marketing graduate of the University of Louisville College of Business. He succumbed to his injuries days after the crash in the burn unit ICU. Matt leaves behind two children and a partner.
We are still waiting to learn more about the victims of the crash who were killed on he ground. We believe these people to be employees and customers at the two businesses where the plane crashed and eventually exploded.
