Brooks Houck told investigators he was asleep when Crystal Rogers left the house they shared on July 3rd, 2015. But a Warren County apparently didn't buy the story, finding him guilty after Prosecutor Shane Young told the jury, "if you don't believe she left the farm, he's guilty of murder."

During former Nelson County Detective Jon Snow's testimony at Houck's trial, the jury saw multiple pictures of Rogers' vehicle, exactly how it was found. A friend of the family was first to spot the car and then called her brother and father, who confirmed the vehicle belongs to Crystal.

Jon Snow picks up his description of the scene, and described the following photos from July 5th, 2015.
