Rick McCubbin has been waiting for this for a long time.

The former Bardstown Police Chief- the man who fired Nick Houck from the department back in 2015- says Thursday's perjury arrest was a long time coming, even if the specific charge caught him slightly off guard.

"It's bittersweet to some degree," McCubbin told me. "I'm glad I made the decision that I made. Of all the things I thought they would get him on, I was a little surprised it was perjury. I think we're all hoping for more- and perhaps more will come."
