It comes down to one question about the day Crystal Rogers disappeared, asked six times before a grand jury.

For months, one question has hung over Nick Houck's perjury case: what, exactly, is he accused of lying about?

This afternoon in Nelson Circuit Court, we got the answer. It's the simplest question imaginable, and it's about the most important day in the Crystal Rogers case: Where were you on July 4, 2015?

According to Houck's own attorney, a prosecutor asked Nick Houck that exact question six times in front of a grand jury. Houck gave an answer. The prosecutor says it was a lie. The defense says it was, at most, incomplete, and that the man who asked the question already knew the full answer.

That "man who asked" is Terry Geoghegan. And the way the defense is using him might be the most interesting development in this case so far.
